Restaurant Munch with its beautiful art and pleasant atmosphere is a destination in itself. Visit us for a food and wine experience you will remember for a long time.

Our head chef is fond of locally rooted food and willingly makes use of Østfold’s rich pantries. However, we never compromise on quality. If we have to travel further to find the best ingredients, we will do it for you. The head chef with his white brigade prepares the most beautiful dishes from classic kitchens with local ingredients. When traditional and modern meet in a beautiful union, taste always comes first.

The wine cellar in its current form was started around 1970 and has always been maintained according to all the rules of the art. This long-term thinking means that we often buy wine for many years into the future. This gives us unique access to mature wines that you can hardly find the likes of. There are finds here in several price ranges and the restaurant manager and his team will be happy to help you find the goodies among our approximately 7,000 bottles.

Restaurant Munch always serves the seasonal Grand Menu. For parties of eight and over, menu and wine must be ordered in advance. Parties or weddings can also choose from our party menus.

Due to high demand in the restaurant, we recommend our guests to pre-book a table for dinner.

Restaurant Munch is open from 17.00 to 22.00 with the option of booking a table every half hour.

On beautiful spring and summer days you can enjoy our outdoor seating. We offer a large and beautiful garden with a lovely view of the fjord – and on the menu you will find good and affordable dishes and drinks. Our beautiful Pavilion in the garden is perfect for summer parties, weddings and anniversaries. In the Pavilion, we can cover approx. 60 people.
