The restaurant at Refsnes Gods, named Munch, is idyllically located on the first floor of the historic main building. This classic restaurant is decorated in soft tones and features eight original works by Edvard Munch. Through the large windows, the beautifully kept garden unfolds, and from the glass-enclosed veranda you can enjoy the sunset over the Oslo Fjord.

Whether you’re dropping by for a spontaneous meal or planning a pleasant meeting, we offer classic dishes with a modern twist – served in Restaurant Munch, out in the beautiful garden, or in one of our historic and cozy lounges. The menu changes with the seasons, but always features fresh ingredients and refined flavours.

Both the surroundings and the content make the wine cellar at Refsnes Gods unique in a Norwegian context. The thick brick walls and the arched ceiling are original from 1767 when the house was built, and it houses one of Norway’s largest wine selections.

Originally, the wine cellar was used as a kitchen, so in the ceiling, you can see a round steel plate covering the hole from the original wood-burning stove’s chimney. The pipe runs through the column in the restaurant and the Kongesalen to a chimney in the ceiling. It is possible to arrange private events in the wine cellar, and our skilled sommelier also regularly conducts wine courses with a 4-course dinner in this unique space.

We serve delicious finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones, home-made jam, whipped cream, sweet delicacies and cakes which are served on platters together with your choice of tea.

On select Fridays, guests are invited to an exclusive dinner in a historic 18th-century cellar, featuring original vaulted ceilings and thick stone walls. The evening includes a four-course menu with carefully paired drinks, all served in a warm and atmospheric setting.
